Dr. Bobby Buka is a board-certified dermatologist and the Founder and CEO of The Dermatology Specialists, the largest dermatology practice in New York. A member of the American Academy of Dermatology, he has authored two books on skin health, Buka’s Emergencies in Dermatology and Top 50 Dermatology Case Studies for Primary Care, as well as a children’s book on mindfulness.
Dr. Buka is a clinical instructor at Mount Sinai Hospital, recognized for his expertise in both cosmetic and medical dermatology. In 2024, he was named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and leads the annual La Roche-Posay US Open Skin Cancer Screening Initiative. In 2025, Dr. Buka presented to the Saudi Royal Family on cutaneous longevity at the Zenos Health Summit in Riyadh. He serves on the editorial board of The Dermatologist.
Previously, Dr. Buka was the Founder and Chief Science Officer of First Aid Beauty, overseeing its sale to P&G in 2018. He now advises Fig. 1, Dune Suncare, Aire Health, and is Chief Science Officer for Flakes. His commitment to the intersection of medicine and holistic living also led him to launch Prana Farms, a goat campus in upstate New York, which provides free produce to patients and staff at The Dermatology Specialists’ 70+ locations.
