Mallory Woods is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Prior to joining The Dermatology Specialists, she worked as an NP with diverse patient populations in upper Manhattan, the Bronx, and Brooklyn. She worked in specialties including primary care, women’s health, and pandemic response.
Mallory holds her Southern roots near and dear to her heart as she is originally from South Carolina. She completed her undergraduate education in neuroscience at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She eventually moved to New York City to attend Columbia University School of Nursing, where she received both her Master of Science in Nursing as a family nurse practitioner and Doctorate in Nursing Practice. During her programs, she served as a student ambassador and co-president of the Doctoral Students Organization.
Mallory Woods pivoted from primary care and women’s health to pursue her interest in dermatology. Her interest in dermatology stems from watching her father struggle with severe eczema for several years. She has completed training in general and cosmetic dermatology under the direction of providers at The Dermatology Specialists. She continues to hone her clinical skills by completing the certification requirements with the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Certification Board. Mallory treats a range of skin conditions and enjoys providing comprehensive dermatologic care to all of her patients.
In her spare time, Mallory appreciates spending time with family and friends, taking walks along Riverside Drive, traveling to various beaches, and spoiling her two cats.
