To all of our patients,
A lot has changed in New York over the last few days and our daily lives have been turned upside down. The closure of our shops, schools and restaurants has changed the landscape of local communities that we will continue to support. We recognize that this turmoil, while temporary, brings anxiety and fear of illness. We empathize with you all.
Our plan is to continue caring. We appreciate how much you rely on us for the care of your skin and will remain open for those who need it. Although this remains a fluid situation, we will continue to have six of our locations open to welcome patients. We will continue to greet you warmly and compassionately when you step inside one of our medical centers. Our staff will follow every contact and respiratory precaution to ensure the safety of patients and team-members alike. If you may have been exposed, are symptomatic, or have recently travelled abroad, we ask that you reschedule your appointments for May 1 or later.
We currently plan to keep our Downtown Brooklyn (440 Atlantic Ave), Astoria, Crown Heights, Greenwich, Upper East Side and Williamsburg locations open. We will also update you if we are forced to close more locations, but currently take great pride in being an integral part of NYC’s resilient healthcare infrastructure.
We are also offering Telederm as an alternative for those patients who want to keep in touch but do not require in-person care. All insurances will be honored as usual.
Finally, take care of yourselves and take care of those within your community. Please remember that all those working to provide “essential” services are working tirelessly, doing their very best to support you.
Thank you for being a patient of The Dermatology Specialists.
