Mesotherapy The Dermatology Specialists

The desire for smooth, sculpted features is a common one. While there are many options for refining your facial skin, one that stands out above the rest for these specifics goals is mesotherapy.

What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive, injection treatment that is used to improve micro-circulation, reducing and shrinking fat cells, removing fibrous connective tissues (commonly known as cellulite) and promoting lymphatic drainage.

During a mesotherapy treatment, natural ingredients are injected into the treatment area, including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, or medications that resolve contributing causes of cellulite and skin dimpling.

This series of injections are placed meticulously just under the surface of the skin.

What to Expect with Mesotherapy

A consultation with one of our doctors is necessary to determine the number of treatments required to reach your aesthetic goals which vary from patient to patient.

On average, a patient requires 10 to 15 series of injections. The treatment is associated with minimal discomfort while providing impressive long-lasting results, especially when combined with other skin rejuvenating treatments.

How long does mesotherapy last?

With a course of 4-6 mesotherapy treatments, patients can expect results to last 12 to 18 months after the recommended course of treatment is completed.

For optimal results, we recommend patients continue treatments in order to maintain their desired appearance.

What are the side effects of mesotherapy?

Side effects for mesotherapy are very mild with a few exceptions. In general, patients can expect mild bruising, swelling, and stingy at the injection site.

In rare cases, allergic reactions and infection can occur with mesotherapy. If you feel any severe discomfort, always contact your dermatologist.
