I’ve got flat warts – on my hands AND feet!

Author: Dr. Bobby Buka

We have two lasers that we use for flat warts on the hands and feet – the pulse dye laser and the carbon dioxide laser.
The pulse dye laser works by robbing warts of their blood supply. That is, the laser heats up small blood vessels that feed the wart. By robbing the warts of these blood vessels and the oxygen that runs through these blood vessels, we can destroy this viral growth.

The second laser we use for warts of the hands and feet is the carbon dioxide laser. The carbon dioxide laser works through a very different method, by heating up water and destroying the tissue that contains the wart virus. In doing so, normal superficial tissue is destroyed but also the wart virus living within that normal tissue.
