Author: Dr. Bobby Buka

Dr. Buka points out that both teen acne and adult acne are caused by the same factors – pore plugging, hormonal factors, and bacteria – but that teen acne tends to revolve more around hormonal changes. As a result, teens tend to develop more comedonal acne (“blackheads and whiteheads”).
