Anjelica Peacock, MD

Dr. Peacock received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Rockford University in Rockford, Illinois, and earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her internship at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, Michigan, followed by a dermatology residency through New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital, located in the heart of traditional Spanish Harlem of New York City, where she served as chief resident in her final year.
During her residency, Dr. Peacock provided high-quality dermatologic care to a diverse patient population, with a particular focus on patients with skin of color. That experience helped fuel her ongoing passion for treating conditions that disproportionately affect these communities, including eczema, vitiligo, hidradenitis suppurativa, and hair loss. She continues to prioritize inclusive, culturally competent care in her practice today.
Dr. Peacock is especially passionate about expanding access to dermatologic care across New York City. She believes everyone deserves compassionate, evidence-based skin care—regardless of background or socioeconomic status. In addition to her clinical work, she is a dedicated volunteer and community advocate. As an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), she participates in a variety of outreach efforts, including annual free skin cancer screenings with the New York Fire Department and local health fairs. She also volunteers her time to provide skin health education in schools, shelters, and community centers across the city. Dr. Peacock is proud to be part of The Dermatology Specialists team, where she brings empathy, expertise, and energy to every patient interaction.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Peacock enjoys weightlifting, playing video games with her best friends, and discovering new restaurants throughout New York City. She also loves cooking at home and hosts monthly themed dinner parties for friends and family—bringing people together around great food, fun, and community.
