Jessica Cleary DNP, APN, FNP-C has always had a passion for helping others which led her to volunteer at a hospital obtaining 750+ hours. This experience guided her to a career in the healthcare field. She graduated from Saint Elizabeth University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. She has experience of being a Registered Nurse since 2014 where she rotated through various specialties like medical surgical unit, operating room, maternal child department, postpartum unit, and dermatology. She aspired to acquire a terminal nursing degree and graduated with honors and nursing honors from Rutgers University with a Doctorates in Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been in dermatology since 2021 and has only grown to love it more and more each day.
Jessica is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and she prioritizes her beliefs on providing quality care and helping her patients feel great in their skin. She loves having long-term patient relationships and enjoys observing how patients transition healthily throughout their lives. From the first patient visit she is attentive and dedicates her time to understanding patients and their conditions. Education is one of her other passions where she loves to educate her patients on sun safety, acute and chronic conditions, and on cosmetic treatments.
When she is not practicing dermatology, she appreciates spending time with her family, especially being outdoors with her children. She and her husband also like to travel and try new foods. One country they like to travel to the most is Portugal where they enjoy a good espresso and a custard cup or as she would say a good “pastel de nata”.
