Karen Cheng, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. She graduated summa cum laude from Stony Brook University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Iowa’s nationally top-ranked PA program and is a member of the PAEA Pi Alpha Honor Society, recognizing excellence in academic achievement, leadership, research, and service.
Before joining The Dermatology Specialists, Karen worked as a dermatology medical assistant. She later completed specialized clinical training in dermatology and plastic surgery practices in the Midwest, gaining expertise in medical, surgical, and aesthetic care. She has since returned to New York to serve the community where she grew up.
Karen approaches every visit with care, precision, and genuine enthusiasm. She stays current with evolving treatments and techniques, collaborates with patients to create practical, personalized care plans, and supports them through every stage of treatment. For her, few things are more rewarding than helping patients achieve the skin results they’ve been working toward.
