Maria Zuniga, MSPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. A native New Yorker, she earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercy University in the Bronx.
Maria’s journey in dermatology began in 2013 as a medical assistant, working alongside leading dermatologists in both academic and private practice settings. There, she assisted in the care of a wide range of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic conditions, an experience that ignited her passion for skin health and inspired her to advance her training as a Physician Assistant.
Having personally experienced dermatologic challenges, Maria understands the profound physical and emotional impact that skin conditions can have. She takes a compassionate and collaborative approach, striving to make every patient feel heard, supported, and confident in their skin. Dedicated to building long-lasting relationships, she creates personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs and lifestyle.
A bilingual child of immigrants, Maria is fluent in Spanish and committed to providing culturally sensitive care to patients of all backgrounds and skin types. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family
