Mariia Semenyshyn is a Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from CUNY Brooklyn College and her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from CUNY York College.
Mariia began her career in dermatology as a medical assistant at The Dermatology Specialists, where she gained hands-on experience assisting with a wide range of medical and cosmetic procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and laser treatments. Working closely with experienced providers, she developed a strong foundation in dermatologic care and an appreciation for the field’s unique blend of clinical precision and visible, meaningful patient outcomes—an experience that ultimately inspired her to pursue a career as a Dermatology PA.
Originally from Ukraine Mariia values working with patients from diverse backgrounds and is passionate about making care approachable and accessible. She speaks Ukrainian and Russian fluently, with conversational Polish, and enjoys connecting with patients in their preferred language whenever possible.
Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, hiking, and learning new languages.
