Maya Zaatari, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered dermatologic care. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Sacred Heart University and completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh.
Before becoming a PA, Maya spent three years working as a medical assistant and Mohs surgical assistant in a high-volume dermatology practice on Long Island. This hands-on experience solidified her passion for dermatology and provided extensive exposure to both medical and surgical dermatologic care. During her PA school training, she completed a focused dermatology elective rotation and participated in the American Academy of Dermatology’s Basic Dermatology Curriculum, further strengthening her foundation in clinical dermatology. She is currently continuing to expand her expertise through The Dermatology Specialists’ fellowship program.
Her clinical interests include medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, acne management, skin cancer detection and treatment, and cosmetic dermatology. She is committed to delivering compassionate, culturally sensitive care and strives to ensure that every patient feels heard, respected, and confident in their treatment plan.
Maya is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA). Outside of the office, she enjoys staying active, attending fitness classes, spending time at the beach, watching movies, and spending quality time with family and friends.
