Melanie Choi is a board-certified Physician Assistant licensed in the state of New York specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. After graduating from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, She has gained experience working as a plastic surgery physician assistant and gained 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant working with a Mohs surgeon to remove skin cancer and achieve the maximum cosmetic result after skin cancer removal. Melanie has also completed the TDS fellowship program under the guidance, supervision and mentorship of the knowledgeable and caring physicians in the group. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Melanie is a California native, who completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. She had interest in living in the East Coast after graduating, and decided to complete her Masters in Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Tufts University. Melanie’s plastic surgery experience prior to graduate school and her gaining interest in Dermatology while in school, shaped her interest and goal to care for patients in both medical and cosmetic Dermatology. Melanie is passionate about patient education and hopes that her patients feel comforted and confident in their knowledge and ability to implement healthy skin habits when leaving her office.
On her days off, Melanie enjoys cooking, exploring new restaurants, walking her golden retriever Daisy, running, hiking, trying new exercise classes, and spending time with friends and family. She hopes to be able to travel more in the future to visit new countries and more national parks. She is excited to continue her career and growth with The Dermatology Specialists.
